Your first consultation: what to prepare

Organise the reports you already have and confirm the consultation format before arranging additional tests.

A notebook and pen

Start with four details

State your area of interest, previous treatment, departure city and preferred timing. If you are unsure about treatment, say so rather than choosing a protocol yourself.

Organise existing reports

Sort laboratory, ultrasound, semen analysis and previous stimulation or transfer records by date. Include a medication, allergy and surgery summary. Preserve names, dates, units and reference ranges rather than sending isolated results.

No recent reports? You can still enquire

Ask whether consultation is remote or in person, what it costs and which records the clinician needs. Wait for the clinic’s list before arranging tests that may duplicate existing information or expire.

Send records through a confirmed channel

Use the first email for a short question summary. Confirm the institution, privacy arrangements and designated submission method before sending full medical records.

After sending your enquiry

Confirm the actual physician, appointment format and date, accepted reports, further tests, consultation fee and quotation process. Generating a draft is not sending it, and a booking requires an explicit reply.
